BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. — American House and REDICO, a national real estate development and investment firm, have broken ground on 88 independent living apartments in the third and final phase of American House Bonita Springs Senior Living community in Florida.

The three-story community, complete with concierge services, will be located on 26 acres at 11400 Longfellow Lane. Joanne’s House at Hope Hospice is nearby.

“This new building complements American House’s recently opened 22 independent living, 68 assisted living and 40 memory care rental apartments to provide our residents with a continuum of services in three separate buildings that offer higher levels of care as a resident ages or their health worsens,” says American House founder and Bonita Springs resident Bob Gillette.

Scheduled for completion in December 2016, Phase III offers five different floor plans. The apartments range in size from 617 square feet for the one-bedroom/one bath model to 1,190 square feet for the two-bedroom/two bath plus den model.

Every rental home comes equipped with a kitchen, plus a washer and dryer. Basic cable and all utilities (excluding telephone) are included in monthly rental fees.

Concierge services include an elegant restaurant-style dining room that serves both breakfast and dinner daily, a casual bistro for lighter fare, a beauty salon with spa and massage room, weekly housekeeping, home repairs and maintenance.

Key common area amenities include a large outdoor swimming pool with lounge areas, a putting green, a one-half mile walking path, chapel, exercise room with state-of-the-art cardiovascular and resistance weight machines.

Other amenities include the Anytime Internet café equipped with Wi-Fi, a large veranda with outdoor kitchen/grill and outdoor seating, several community rooms available for group activities and private family get-togethers, and a bocce ball court. Covered parking is available, and plans call for scheduled transportation services.

Additionally, small pets are welcome.

“There is a tremendous demand for our model of continuum of care for seniors living in Southwest Florida,” says Dale Watchowski, CEO of American House. “With our diverse lifestyle and fitness programming, American House provides a blend of freedom and opportunity, all free of daily concerns of cooking, housekeeping, yard work and transportation,” he adds.

American House rental fees range from $2,800 per month to $4,500 per month with a one-time community service fee of $2,500.

“Combined with our Coconut Point location (now under construction south of Coconut Point Mall off U.S. 41 and Coconut Road and expected to open in late spring 2016), American House now offers Southwest Florida residents a combined 400 independent living, assisted living and memory care rental apartments in Estero and Bonita Springs,” says Watchowski.
