PORT ROYAL, S.C. – Big Rock Partners, a real estate investment management and development firm, and joint venture partner Millennium Real Estate Group LLC plan to begin construction in early 2016 on a $25 million upscale senior living rental development in Port Royal, just minutes from Hilton Head Island in South Carolina’s Lowcountry region.
Offering independent living, assisted living and memory care services, the new community will be located on a seven-acre site. The location is part of a 50-acre property that Port Royal-based Millennium purchased and has developed.
Winston Salem-based CJMW Architecture is designing the community to include 126 rental residences – 60 independent living and 45 assisted living apartments, plus a 21-unit memory care section. Life Care Services will operate and market the community.
The developers expect to complete design by fall 2015 and to have sitework underway by first-quarter 2016. The companies expect to finish construction in early 2017.
