LAKE WORTH, Fla. — Big Rock Partners is preparing to open Phase I of Atria at Villages of Windsor, a seniors housing community in Lake Worth, approximately 60 miles north of Miami.

The $105 million project is located on 22.5 acres. The first phase of construction includes part of the 179 independent living units and the memory care building. The final phase, which includes 80 assisted living units, will open to residents before the end of 2017.

Atria Senior Living will market and operate the new community. Investors in the property include RD Management LLC, Ventas and TownshipCapital.

“As demand becomes higher for senior living and retirement communities in the United States, especially with Florida’s older population continuing to rise, timing couldn’t be more perfect for us to expand our portfolio to include seniors housing,” said Richard Birdoff, principal and president of RD Management, a privately held real estate development and management organization.

Gensler was the architect on the project, while Moss & Associates oversaw construction.
