GAMBRILLS, Md. — Capitol Seniors Housing has broken ground on Arbor Terrace Waugh Chapel, an assisted living and memory care community in the Baltimore suburb of Gambrills.

The $27.2 million, 72,140-square foot community will feature 84 units. It is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2018. Capitol Seniors Housing is also constructing Arbor Terrace Maple Lawn in nearby Fulton, also scheduled to open by the end of the year.

The Arbor Company will operate the community upon completion. Moseley Architects designed the building while Faulkner Design Group designed the interiors.

The community is being built adjacent to Waugh Chapel Towne Center, a 79-acre mixed-use development in the heart of the Annapolis-Baltimore-Washington corridor.

United Bank Inc. of Washington, D.C., is the lender for the development.
