Eastern Union Funding Hires Healthcare Finance Banking Specialist Nachum Soroka

NEW YORK CITY — Eastern Union Funding has hired Nachum Soroka as vice president of the company’s healthcare finance group.

Soroka has underwritten more than $1.5 billion in healthcare loans nationwide and has analyzed over $3.5 billion in potential credit, including ground-up construction, acquisition loans, refinancing and asset-based lending lines of credit. He has expertise in skilled nursing, assisted living, CCRC and hospital facilities.

Before joining Eastern Union, Soroka was the chief underwriter for the national healthcare financing group at Banco Popular North America where he created the underwriting, screening and portfolio management templates for the bank’s $500 million loan portfolio. Prior to that, Soroka was a lead analyst for Maryland-based Congressional Bank, working on bridge loans and lines of credit in the skilled nursing sector.

In addition to healthcare and medical office transactions, New York City-based Eastern Union arranges financing for multifamily, mixed-use, retail, office, industrial, hotel and self-storage properties.
