FORT MYERS, Fla. — A joint venture between Fortress Ventures, Compass Real Estate and AIG Global Real Estate has broken ground on Thrive at Beachwalk, a 125-unit assisted living and memory care community in Fort Myers.

The two levels of care will be located in separate neighborhoods. Once completed, Thrive Senior Living will operate the community.

Fortress Ventures is a developer that specializes in senior living communities. Compass Real Estate is an Atlanta-based private equity company that invests in all commercial property types. AIG Global Real Estate Investment Corp. invests in and manages real estate.

Centennial Bank provided construction financing. THW Architects of Atlanta designed the community.

The developers will open a welcome center in early 2017, and expect to finish construction in fall of 2017.
