Heritage to Expand Community in Omaha

by Jeff Shaw

OMAHA, Neb. — Heritage Communities has announced a planned expansion at The Heritage at Sterling Ridge, which will add more independent living and assisted living units to the Omaha community.

The eight-acre property opened two years ago. Although the exact number of units in the project was not disclosed, Heritage said it will expand the community by 10 percent. Heritage, the operator, cited a quick lease-up of the original property as the reason for the expansion.

Northwest Bank is providing financing for the project. Construction is scheduled to begin in July for completion in December.

Heritage Communities owns and operates 11 seniors housing communities in the Omaha metro area, with another currently under construction.
