HJ Sims Expands Puerto Rico Office With Addition of Four to Advisory Team

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico — HJ Sims has added four new hires to its advisory team in Guaynabo: Roberto Feria Cestero as senior vice president of private client wealth management; Carlos Alvarado as vice president of investments; Maria “Magie” Mena as senior client service associate; and Adrian Fernandez as investment advisor.

Cestero was formerly employed as vice president of investments at Santander Securities, assistant vice president at Popular Securities and financial advisor at PaineWebber. He has 17 years of experience.

Alvarado has 31 years of experience and specializes in fixed income, stocks and options. He earned a BBA in accounting from the University of Puerto Rico and an MBA in international business at the University of Dallas. Formerly, Alvarado was employed with Merrill Lynch and Santander Securities.

Mena was formerly employed at PaineWebber, UBS and Santander Securities. She earned a business administration degree and has 20 years of experience.

Fernandez specializes in financial planning and tax credits.

HJ Sims is a financial services company, with a particular emphasis on underwriting bonds for the seniors housing industry.
