Kendal Breaks Ground on $40M CCRC Expansion in Virginia

LEXINGTON, Va. — Kendal Corp., a nonprofit owner-operator based in Pennsylvania, has broken ground on a $40 million expansion at Kendal at Lexington, a 120-unit continuing care retirement community in Lexington.

Kendal at Lexington is located on 85 acres in the Shenandoah Valley, near the West Virginia border. The expansion project will add 30 new cottages to the community, while also expanding the dining and health centers.

In addition to expanding and updating the community, architects designed the project to increase natural light and remove structural obstacles.
