MedCore, TNRG Start Construction of 190-Unit Community in Texas

ATASCOCITA, Texas — MedCore Partners and The National Realty Group (TNRG) have started construction of Fountainwood at Lake Houston, a seniors housing community near Lake Houston in Atascocita.

Located on a seven-acre site, the 200,000-square-foot community will host a total of 190 units — 98 for independent living, 68 for assisted living and 24 for memory care.

The project is scheduled to open in summer 2020. Integral Senior Living will manage the community upon completion.

The project is the second Houston-area senior living development for TNRG and MedCore Partners. The companies opened the 80-unit Spring Cypress Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Cypress in June 2018. The second phase of Spring Cypress is currently in design, which will add 138 independent living apartment units, hybrid townhomes and garden homes to the campus.

UMB Bank of Dallas provided development financing. Dallas-based PRDG provided architectural and engineering services, with interior design direction from Studio Six5 in Austin. Ridgemont Commercial Construction is the general contractor, with landscape design by Pacheco Koch.
