Methodist Homes Completes $9M Renovation, Conversion to Household Model in Alabama

DOTHAN, Ala. — Methodist Homes of Alabama & Northwest Florida has completed $9 million in new construction and rehabilitation at Wesley Place at Honeysuckle in Dothan, located in the southeast corner of Alabama near the Florida panhandle.

The 15-month project converted the property, formerly known as Wesley Manor, to the Household Model, which features smaller neighborhoods of units centered around a shared set of amenities. Under this model, 16 to 22 residents will be grouped together as a “household.” Each resident has his or her own unit, but share a living room, kitchen and dining room.

The renovations included construction of a new rehabilitation center and modernization of the exterior, grounds, assisted living section and long-term care section.
