Methodist Homes Hires Daniel March as Executive Director of CCRC in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Methodist Homes of Alabama & Northwest Florida has hired Daniel March, a licensed nursing home administrator and former minister, as the new executive director of Fair Haven. The continuing care retirement community, located in Birmingham, recently underwent a $42 million campus-wide redevelopment.

March earned a bachelor’s degree in religion from Millikin University, a master’s degree in divinity from Lexington Theological Seminary, and went to work in pastoral ministry. After 16 years in pastoral care in the Christian Church, March returned to school at Kansas State University to earn an master’s degree in hospitality management, and a few years later returned to Wichita State University for an M.B.A.

March most recently led a large Presbyterian seniors housing campus in Pittsburgh, Pa., working closely with a post-acute rehabilitation program.

Fair Haven offers seniors a full spectrum of housing and care options, including 259 nursing beds, making it the largest nursing home in Birmingham.
