SEATTLE — Presbyterian Retirement Communities Northwest, a nonprofit seniors housing operator, has announced two promotions and a hiring at the company’s Seattle headquarters.

George Twiss was hired as executive director of The PRCN Foundation, the funds development arm of the company. Twiss has experience in both the corporate sector — working for Xerox, Prodigy and Seattle Film Works — and the nonprofit sector, where he has worked for Northwest Center, University of Phoenix and Senior Services. He has served on the boards of University of Washington Foster School, Rotary Boys & Girls Club, Seattle Pacific University Business School, Senior Services, Community Services for the Blind and Mary Queen of Peace Church.

Originally from Boston, Twiss holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Stonehill College and an MBA from Clark University.

The company also promoted two members of its executive leadership team. Eve Jakoboski was promoted from corporate human resources director to vice president of human resources, and DeAnne Clune was promoted from corporate marketing director to vice president of marketing.

Jakoboski has been with the company since October 2014. She has over 20 years of human resources and executive management experience, with the majority of that time spent in hospitality, in addition to several years in the healthcare sector. Jakoboski graduated with a bachelor’s degree in human resources from the University of Alabama, Huntsville.

Clune officially joined the company in August 2014 after a six-month consulting engagement. She has nearly 30 years of marketing experience, primarily focused on consumer-direct marketing, spending several years marketing retail, restaurant and service businesses to consumers. She chose to focus exclusively on marketing senior living organizations and communities in 1999. Clune graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications from Oregon State University.
