Ventas Hires Timothy Sanders as Senior Investment Officer; Promotes Three Others

CHICAGO — Ventas Inc. (NYSE: VTR), a leading real estate investment trust (REIT) with 1,600 seniors housing communities and other medical facilities in the United States, Canada and United Kingdom, has hired Timothy Sanders as a senior investment officer and promoted three of its existing employees.

Sanders joined the company from Capital Lending and Mortgage Group LLC, an affiliate of Capital Funding Group, a Baltimore-based mortgage banker that specializes in seniors housing and skilled nursing debt. He will be a member of the Ventas Senior Leadership Team.

Randy Sohanaki was promoted to vice president of IT applications and will also join the Ventas Senior Leadership Team. Previously, he was director of IT applications. Sohanaki joined Ventas in connection with its acquisition of Nationwide Health Properties (NHP).

Wilkingson Germain was promoted to senior investment officer, focusing on the acquisition of medical office buildings and other healthcare assets, and continues as a member of the Ventas Senior Leadership Team. Previously, he was an investment officer. Germain joined Ventas in 2006, and has held a series of positions of increasing responsibility at the company during his tenure.

Shane Seitz was promoted to senior investment officer, focusing on medical office buildings and other healthcare investments, and continues as a member of the Ventas Senior Leadership Team. Previously, he was an investment officer. Seitz joined Ventas in connection with its acquisition of NHP.
